Pai Khot Fighters stormed into the finals defeating Delite Titans by 16 runs in the Desserts n More u25 Boys Sarsangan Cricket Series at Arlem Cricket Ground

Electing to bat first, Pai Khot Fighters put up an imposing 160/8 in 20 overs, thanks to the 84 run opening partnership in 8 overs from the two openers, Pranav Kamat 50* (29 balls, 7 x 4s, 2 x 6s) and Atchut Naik Dalal 30 (30 balls, 5 x 4s). Mehank Dharwadkar’s 20 (10 balls, 3 x4s) and support from Samprabh Phaldesai 11, Arsh Sardesai 14 and Sahil Neurekar 13 helped Pai Khot Fighters post 160/8 in 20 overs.

For Delite Titans, Pranav Nagarsekar 2-24, Somay Naik 2-32, Sanat Prabhudesai 1-7 and Granthik Buyao 1-34 were the successful bowlers.

In reply, a fiery opening spell of fast bowling saw the Delite Titans lose 2 wickets in 3 balls, as Animesh Prabhugaonkar 6 and Ved Mahambrey 0 had no clue to the raw pace of Mehank Dharwadkar. However a steady innings by Granthik Buyao 21 (22 balls, 3 x 4s) and Ashay Ambe 52* (42 balls, 6 x 4s, 1 x 6s) rescued the Titans. Though Sanat Prabhudesai 13 and Somay Naik 13 tried their best, the Titans fell short by 16 runs to reach 144/9 in 20 overs.

For the Fighters, the most successful bowlers was the 12 year old Ayan Amod Borkar who picked 2-18 with his big spinning leg breaks and Mehank Dharwadkar returning with a dream spell of 4-1-19-2. They were ably supported by Karan Mahale 1-15, Arsh Sardesai 1-16, Sahil Neurenkar 1-17 and Shridhar Keni 1-21.

Mehank Dharwadkar was awarded the Desserts n More Man of the Match award at the hands of Gaurish Agni, Vipul Kamat, Rasik Pai Khot and Nagnath Shanbhag in the presence of Gomakant Mahambrey.
