In a midnight raid conducted at Sinquerim, Candolim-Goa, Calangute Police Station team comprising of PSI Paresh Sinari, PC-7119 Ganpat Tilogi, PC-6644 Vijay Naik, PC-6118 Amir Garad and PC-7106 Akash Naik during which accused Ibrahim Pastuni (45), R/o Ram Nagar, Porvorim, Bardez-Goa was found in illegal possession of narcotic drugs Ganja weighing 920 grams worth Rs. 92,000/- approximately.
Credible information was received by Calangute Police Station from the sources that one male person will be coming to deliver narcotic drugs to his prospective customers and is likely to leave the place after disposing off said contraband. Accordingly a raid was conducted in presence of panchas and above narcotic drugs was seized.
The accused person is being remanded to Police Custody in-order to find out the source of above narcotic drugs.
A complaint regarding illegal possession of narcotic drugs was filed by PSI Shri. Paresh Sinari of Calangute P.S. upon which PSI Shri. Kiran Naik has registered an offence under the provisions of NDPS Act, 1985.
Further investigation is in progress under the Supervision of PI Shri. Paresh Naik of Calangute Police Station with overall Supervision of SDPO Porvorim, Shri Vishwesh Karpe and SP North, Shri. Nidhin Valsen, IPS.
