Pai Khot Fighters beat Delite Titans by 5 wickets and 40 balls to spare in the Desserts n More u25 Boys Sarsangan Cricket Series at Arlem Cricket Ground

Electing to bat first, Delite Titans were bundled out for 83 in just 15.3 overs with the Pai Khot Fighters picking wickets at regular intervals. Losing Somay Naik for duck in the very 1st over by Samprabh Phaldesai, Delite Titans never got into the groove. Though Anish Mahambrey 16 (17 balls, 2 x 4s) and Granthik Buyao 14 (18 balls, 1 x 4s) put on 34 runs for the 2nd wicket in 30 balls, Titans could not capitalise as none of their batters showed any mettle to stay put on the pitch which offered any assistance to the bowlers.

Ashay Ambe 11 (16 balls, 2 x 4s) and a late burst by Pranav Nagarsekar 21 not out (17 balls, 2 x 4s, 1 x 6s) helped Titans reach 83 as they got bowled out with 4.3 overs left in the innings. For Fighters, Pranav Kamat 3-6 and Arsh Sardesai 3-13 were the leading wicket takers and received support from Krish Pai Khot 1-4, Samprabh Phaldesai 1-17 and Mehank Dharwadkar 1-27.

In reply, Pai Khot Fighters got rocked by some fiery fast bowling by Granthik Buyao and Ashay Ambe, both picking 2 wickets apiece to send Fighters reeling at 19-4 in the 4th over. However some gritty batting by Sahil Neurenkar 15 (25 balls, 2 x 4s) and Samprabh Phaldesai 24* (26 balls, 1 x 4s) helped Fighters come right back into the match, which was aided by some sloppy fielding by the Titans as Somay Naik and Paarth Kamat Satoskar dropped 3 catches before the score could reach 30.

Mehank Dharwadkar with an unbeaten 20 (7 balls, 4 x 4s) took the Fighters home by 5 wickets and 40 balls to spare as they reached 86/5 in 13.2 overs. For Titans, the pick of the bowlers was Granthik Buyao returning dream figures of 4-0-9-2 and was assisted by Ashay Ambe who picked 2-24. Arsh Sardesai was awarded the Desserts n More Man of the Match medal at the hands of Rasik Pai Khot and Nagnath Shanbhag in presence of Gomakant Mahambrey.
