Don Bosco College, Panjim, is all set to organize its annual flagship event “Meteora” on 1-2 February 2024. The 2-day mega event will be held in Don Bosco Oratory from 9 am to 6 pm on both days. The vibrant theme of this edition of Meteora is “Parade into paradise”.

    Meteora comprises a total of 26 events ranging from performing arts such as Battle of Bands, Dance, Fashion Show, and the prestigious Mr. & Ms. Meteora pageant to events that will showcase the creativity and talent of the students in the fields of Art, Music, Media skills and Photography. Additionally, sports events have been designed to test the physical endurance of students. These include Tug of War, Arm wrestling, etc.
    Without the support of all the partners who contributed to keeping Meteora exceptional, the aim would not have been attained. The event is supported by AFC & Grills, Hibas, Cafe Bangalore, Temptations, Coastal gusto, Miradouro, Seventh heaven, Tefitti, Samphire, Blue Brick, Goan fiber, TR constructions, Hold collection, Beerex, Autotech Boss, Rajdeep builders, Cleffy’s Creative Studio, Mag’s, EMA studios, Scoopy Scrub.
    The dignitaries who addressed the press were the Director of Don Bosco College, Fr Joaquim Lobo, the Principal of Don Bosco College, Dr. Cedric Silveira, the Meteora chairperson, Mr Aaron Fernandes, the vice chairperson, Ms Maanya Kalkundri, the cultural secretary, Ms Sarah Cabral and the General Secretary, DBC Ms Sakshi Kittur.

    Addressing the press, Fr. Joaquim Lobo – Director of Don Bosco College, Panjim said “We are very excited to announce Meteora 2024, one of the most awaited events of Don Bosco College.
    With a large number of colleges from all over the state participating, I am certain that this event will be a big success, helping students showcase their talents in the field of their choice.”
    Dr. Cedric Silveira, Principal of Don Bosco College said that “Meteora is a brand event of our college. It encompasses cultural, sports, and management events. Each year number of colleges come, to make these two days spectacular with their performances.”
    Addressing the press, Ms Sakshi Kittur said “The event is more than a decade old and every year it has gotten bigger with more zeal and enthusiasm. The success of events like ours is important to kick start the college event circuit where students get a platform to showcase their talents and put their skills to the test. This year too for Meteora we expect to see the best talent in Goa to converge at Don Bosco college. We hope that the event will be a grand success and the legacy will continue.”
