The 8th edition of the Akhil Gomantakiva Daivadnva Brahmin Youth Association’s (AGDBYA) Daivadnya Cricket Cup 2026 was successfully held on 17th and 18th January 2026 at the S.A.G Ground.
The concluding ceremony was graced by Dr. Geeta Nagvenkar, Member Secretary of the Goa State Pollution Control Board, as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Chitra D. Lotlikar attended as the Guest of Honour.
On the occasion, Sakshi Haldankar, National Weightlifting Champion, was felicitated with the prestigious Daivadnya Sports Achiever Award.
A total of 17 teams from across Goa participated in the tournament, including two women’s teams and two kids’ teams, making the event inclusive and vibrant.
Smt. Seema Rohit Vernekar, President of AGDBYA, welcomed the guests and dignitaries and highlighted the association’s year-round activities and social service initiatives.
Chief Guest Dr. Geeta Nagvenkar appreciated AGDBYA’s efforts in organizing the tournament in a professional manner and thanked the association for inviting her to be part of the event.
The prize distribution ceremony was held in a grand manner in the presence of over 200 attendees. The winning teams, runner-up teams, and individual achievers were felicitated with trophies and awards.
